500gramsBeef minceYou can use mutton, lamb or chicken alternatively
1tspsaltto taste
3/4tspblack pepper
1tspharissa powder
2tbspfresh coriander, finely chopped
1egg, whisked
2green chillies, finely choppedor 1 tsp red chilli flakes- both are optional
Toppings
1red onion, slicedoptional
Instructions
Add all the ingredients, except the onions and oil into a bowl and mix through. Let this marinate at least for two hours or ideally overnight.
In a frying pan, add 2 tbsps of the oil and heat. Fry the red onions until they are softened. (If wanting a red onion topping, fry at this point)
Then add the softened onions to the beef mince mixture and mix through. (Reserve some of the red onions for topping the burgers if you have cooked 3 onions here)
Next make up your burger patties. I like to make them and lay them out on a chopping board ready to cook. You should be able to make 10 patties in total.
Heat 2-3 tbsp of the oil and fry the burgers in a frying pan (or griddle pan) and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side of the burger.
Add the burger into your burger buns, top with cheese, the additional red onions and tomato and chutney and serve!

Notes
I use a burger patty press maker to make my burgers, they come out perfectly circular and look professional and not kebab like.
