Creamy Tuna Pasta Bake Recipe | Easy, Cheesy, and Perfect for Weeknight Dinners

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams pasta I use fusilli, but any will work.
  • 80 grams unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 300 ml double cream
  • 550 ml whole milk
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes to taste
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp 1.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 100 grams grated cheddar cheese you will some extra for topping the bake
  • 300 grams tinned tuna this is 3 tins of drained tuna
  • 150 grams sweetcorn I use frozen sweetcorn
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

  • First of all, start to cook the pasta. Add water to a large saucepan, bring it boil and then add your pasta. Cook until soft or as per the cook instruction on the packet.
  • Whilst the pasta is cooking, start on your sauce, In a another medium sized pan add your butter and melt.

  • Once the butter has melted, add the flour and stir through, make sure there aren't any lumps.

  • Then add the double cream, milk, paprika, chilli flakes, parsley, salt, fenugreek seeds, garlic and stir through. Cook on a medium to low heat until the sauce has thickened.

  • Then add in the cheddar cheese, tuna and sweetcorn and stir through. Turn off the heat.

  • By this time, the pasta will have cooked, drain off the water and add it to an oven proof baking tray.

  • Then pour over the tuna sauce on the pasta, ensure all the pasta is coated properly. Use a spoon to do this.
    Tuna Pasta Bake
  • Sprinkle over some additional grated cheese and the breadcrumbs. Then bake at 180C for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
